[ you know what, he's just hanging out here watching everyone and observing what's happening. how people engage with each other. people's moods. if you thought he'd be anywhere near by you are mistaken. instead he is off in a corner by himself, occasionally fiddling with the large gold bracelet on his wrist as his eyes trace people's movements.
[ wanders over here at some point once he's dried off and other people are busy, once it's quiet... here have a water bottle! still sealed and everything. ]
Justice. [ quietly, so as not to draw too much attention over. ] How're you holding up?
[ hello. he blinks at the sudden appearance, but he takes the water bottle anyway. ]
I'm fine. [ easy, automatic answer. whether that's true or not, who knows? who is apollo justice if he's not fine? ] I'm not entirely surprised this place is getting worse and worse by the day.
[ yeah unfortunately!! sometimes being paranoid was right!!! he'll come lean against the wall where he's hanging out, folding his arms and looking out on the hot spring, following what he'd been observing.
though, with a soft huff, the faintest touch of humour: ] ...That list of illegal things of yours must be at least ten metres long, at this point.
[ he's looking at the water bottle for a moment, toying with the lid even if he doesn't break the seal. there's a little laugh though because, well, yeah. ]
I'm running out of paper at this rate. The fact that this keeps happening and we still only have robots is concerning. Can't call out to emergency services either.
[ which is very troubling. his mouth draws into a line, frowning at their surroundings. ] I've been wondering why we've not seen hide nor hair of anyone around besides those things. [ dryly ] I've got a few complaints.
What's an igniter? I've heard about people losing access to, uh, powers and stuff. Things that happened as soon as they got here. [ there's a frown from him, too. ] If anything, they're probably hiding out after this mess.
Since the prosecutor died a few days ago, I guess it does fall to me. [ he looks pretty neutral and focused about it, but there's a tinge of anger in his tone so. make of that what you will. ] And since the detective also died a few days ago, I'm a little behind in my investigations.
So far nothing's connected to any of them to suggest foul play, so... we have to treat them as isolated incidents for now. Then again, how would we know if someone tampered with the rollercoaster tracks or attacked that girl from behind before putting her in the golf course or staged the fireworks? There aren't that many of us.
We all knew this was too good to be true without any strings attached. But you'd think someone would find something by now pointing to who's running the city. I haven't heard anything, and even my own investigating's turning up with nothing.

No. [ yes. he's a little on edge after the last four days, frankly. ] I'm thinking about our progress here.
